Fourth of July Parade

Saturday morning was the O'Fallon Fourth of July parade! What nice weather for the parade! This was Luke's first time at the parade. We missed last year because of rain. Cole and I headed up to get a spot around 8:15am. The streets close at 8:30am so we wanted to make sure we were able to get through and park in the church parking lot. We followed Cindy (Matt's cousin) and Lonnie and their kids up to the parade. The parade didn't start until 9:30am so we set up our seats and hung out for a bit. Cole enjoyed playing with Noah and Sophia while he waited. Matt and Luke joined us right before the parade started since I figured it would be too hard for Luke to wait so long before it started.

The parade was tons of fun!! There are lots of opportunities to get candy, beads and other trinkets. Cole really got into getting candy this year! He came home with an entire bag full of candy! Luke stayed in his stroller for the first half of the parade and then got out the second half. He seemed to enjoy it as well.
