For part of the boy's two week Spring Break we headed to San Diego to visit Aunt Lucy, Uncle George and Granny. We were so excited to head out west to have them all meet Ella.
On Saturday, March 16 we headed to the airport for our first plane ride as a family of five. Here are all three kiddos as we get ready to go through security - which is a bit of an adventure with three kids and all of their stuff - on our way to the airplane.
Ella did amazing on the flight out there - all four hours of it! She pretty much slept the entire flight and ate her bottle during the landing which kept her nice and happy. The boys did pretty well on the flight although they got a little restless the last hour.

We went to Chuck E Cheese on Sunday for our activity. The boys had a blast! We found out that Luke is still super freaked out by Chuck E Cheese figures. We found our seats and silly me pointed out the characters on the stage to Luke. I knew he didn't like those types of figures but I wasn't expecting him to freak out the way he did. He ran away from our spot and wouldn't go back. We had to move because he was so afraid.
The boys had a blast playing so many games and collecting their tickets! Cole spent all of his tickets plus Luke's left overs. Luke only wanted one item with his tickets and gave the rest to Cole.
Monday of our trip was spent at Lego Land and Ella spent the day with Aunt Lucy and Granny. This was our second time at Lego Land (we went there on our first visit to San Diego back in March 2011). I think Matt and I enjoyed it more this time around than the first time. It seemed less crowded and we got to more of the park this time around. We had a blast riding the rides - including two small roller coasters!

We visited the San Diego Safari Park on our trip. This was also our second time to the Safari Park and we loved it! Such a great place! I like it much better than the San Diego Zoo.
We went on an tram ride through the African area of the park and got to see lots of animals. We saw giraffes, rhinos, flamingos and more! We even got to see a 3 week old baby rhino.
We had such a great time in San Diego, enjoying the amazing weather and visiting with family. Here is how the boys ended the trip on the last part of the plane ride - past out!
