Cole turned 7 years old on Saturday, March 16!! We celebrated his birthday in the morning at our house with our present to him - a Lego Chima set and a sketch book with colored pencils.
To keep with the past few years Cole's birthday was spent on vacation as we traveled to San Diego after we celebrated his birthday in the morning. We arrived in San Diego the evening of the 16th to finish Cole's two weeks of celebrating his birthday with Granny, Aunt Lucy and Uncle George.
Cole had the biggest smile on his face as we all sang "Happy Birthday" to him! I just love capturing his happiness on camera.
Hard to believe my sweet boy is seven years old already! Time sure does go by fast. Cole has really excelled in school this past year. School work seems to come easy to him and he enjoys learning (hopefully this continues as he gets older). Math is the area he really excels at and it is amazing to see how well he understands this subject. Cole's reading has really improved over the past year. He has gone up two reading levels since school has started.
Cole has been putting together his Lego sets recently and I am so impressed how well he reads the instructions and is able to put them together with little assistants from us. He is currently playing indoor soccer with his outdoor church team. He loves to play and it is fun to watch him.
Cole is an amazing young boy and we can't wait to see what the next year brings!
