On Tuesday, March 5th Ella turned 1 month old and 4 weeks old!! A month sure did go by fast! Our sweet little girl has transitioned nicely into our family. The boys have been so accepting and welcoming of her. Luke tends to pay Ella more attention than Cole does but they are both pretty sweet with their baby sister.
It is hard to tell that Ella has much hair from looking at her face so I took a picture of the back of her head to show most of her hair is on the back of her head. The hair on the top of her head really has filled in over the past month. Still not sure what color it will end up being as she gets older as it has a lot of red, brown and blond in it and varies depending on the light.
We weighed Ella and she weighed around 8 pounds, 5 ounces on her 1 month birthday. She is still a tiny little one but you can tell she is starting to fill out as her cheeks are getting bigger. Ella eats 3oz. bottles every 3 hours but sometimes in the evening she eats a bit sooner. Occasionally during the day she goes 4 hours between feedings. Her night time sleeping habits are not very consistent just yet. Some nights she wakes up once or twice in the night and then goes right back to sleep. Then, there have been a few nights when she wakes up and stays up for an hour or two. She has had a night or two when she's slept for 6-7 hours before waking up to eat.
She is starting to stay up for longer periods of time during the day but still sleeps quite a bit. Can't wait to see what the next month brings with our sweet baby girl!
