Luke is having a pumpkin decorating contest in his preschool class this year. The other week when we found out about the contest I sat down and looked up some pictures for Luke to get some ideas. He settled on a blue spider pumpkin. After rounding up some supplies at Michaels and getting a pumpkin we set out the other night to get the process started.
Here is Luke working on painting his pumpkin blue.
We painted the pumpkin blue on Thursday night and made it into a spider today. Here is the finished blue pumpkin ready to become a spider!
We added big googly eyes, used foam to make the mouth and then pipe cleaners for the legs. Here is the finished product:
