Cole's First Soccer Game!!

Cole had his first soccer game on Saturday! It didn't go too smoothly. He looks super cute in his yellow uniform. Unfortunately I didn't get a good picture of his posing in it. He did really well when he would play but only was interested in the game for about half of the time. He was pretty moody yesterday. He started crying when he wasn't able to be in front. We try to explain to him that it doesn't matter where you are standing, that everyone gets to play. He also just wandered off of the field one time looking for his water bottle. Then he decided that he had enough and was done for that game. He didn't even want to sit by him team - although there wasn't much sitting on the bench going on. It is hard to get a bunch of four year olds to sit and watch the game.

They played a team of kindergarteners from Troy. These boys were much bigger and more skilled then Cole's team. Lots of goals were scored by the other team. Luckly Cole's team did get one goal. There is no goalie and the coaches are on the field. They don't keep score, which is a good thing!

Cole had his second game today and it was much colder than it was yesterday. Although once again they were playing an older team (I guess most churches don't have a pre-k team) I think it went much better than yesterday. Cole played well when he was on the field, although he doesn't really listen to the coach. Hopefully he can work on that as he plays more games. He did stay with his team the entire time, but it probably helped that Matt stayed by the bench this time. The boys have a really hard time not goofying off when they aren't on the field. Once again the other team scored quite a bit but one little boy on Cole's team was able to score a goal.

Looking forward to seeing how the boys progress as the season goes on.
