Hard to believe that my baby is already 6 month olds as of Sunday! Crazy how time seems to have gone by so fast these past 6 months. He continues to be an amazing and wonderful addition to our family.
His eating patterns are pretty much the same as last month. He still eats 6oz bottles every 3 hours which ends up being 5 bottles per day. We introduced cereal to Luke last Wednesday but so far it has been a slow go with him. He just doesn't seem to really know what to do with it once it is in his mouth. He's slowly starting to get use to it but I think it will be a little longer before he has it mastered and we move on to veggies and then fruit.
As for Luke's sleeping patterns they are also pretty much the same. He usually wakes up between 6-7am (he will occassionally sleep to 7:30am but not very often). He generally takes his first nap of the day about an hour to an hour and a half after he wakes up. That nap usually lasts 1-2 hours. Then he's up for another hour or two and is back down for nap number two and once again sleeps for 1-2 hours. Depending on the timing and lengths of his first two naps he does sometimes take a third short nap in the later afternoon. He goes to bed between 7-8pm on most nights.
Activity wise he is working on being able to sit up by himself. He can sit up with support very well but not so well by himself. He can last for a few seconds but then down he goes. He tends to arch his back so that makes him fall. I think in the next few weeks he will get better at sitting up with no support. He is starting to roll more and more these days. Unlike Cole he has yet to roll all around the room but is still quite a mover. One minute he's in one position and the next second you look over he's totally changed where he is at! He's very into reaching and grabbing for things lately once he gets his eye on something. There is a big bottle of lotion on the changing table that always catches his attention. Before I know it he's on his side trying to grab it!
He is still such a happy baby most of the time and always has a huge smile on his face! He is very relaxed little guy. Cole is still one of his favorite people and if he's around Luke's attention is turned to him. Its just crazy to think how much he has accomplished and has changed in his first 6 months of life and how much more will take place over the next 6 months. Looking forward to see how much he grows over this next 6 month!
