It's hard to believe that it was a year ago this time last year when we started telling everyone that we were expecting our second baby! Last year the holiday weekend was spent with all the males in the family hard at work helping to build our deck! One year later and we have an amazing deck courtesy of Matt and much help from many Bange men and a beautiful baby boy!
The past two years we have taken Cole to the O'Fallon Fourth of July parade but unfortunately this year it was raining so we decided not to go. Had it only been drizziling one of us probably would have taken Cole but it was raining pretty hard so we decided to skip it this year. Luckly Cole didn't seem to notice! Hopefully we'll be able to take both boys to the parade next year!
We headed out to the farm around 1pm to spend the afternoon/evening with Matt's parents and 3 of his siblings and their families. Cole just loves being out on the farm and he especially loves playing with his cousins (especially Jacob). He ran around practically the whole time we were there. Cole got to go on some canoe rides in Papa's lake which he really enjoys! He also took some walks around the farm with Aunt Susan and his cousins.
Susan brought some small fireworks for the kids which they all seemed to really enjoy! What a great idea!
We've yet to take Cole to see any large firework displays (except for the year he was 3 months old and we watched them from my Dad's apartment downtown) but maybe next year when Luke is a little older. Although he'll probably be at the age where he'll be afraid of them but we'll see.
Last year I got a picture of Cole with Jacob and I was able to get one again this year. They really have started to play so well with each other this past year!
