Luke

When I was taking pictures of Cole tonight doing his homework Luke of course wanted his picture taken. He was eating a peanut butter sandwich, one of his recent favorite things to eat so he's got a bit of it on his face. I just love his big blue eyes in the picture.

My baby sure is growing up fast! Potty training is going slow but we are continuing to work on it hoping one of these days it will all click. He pees in the potty most of the time when we take him but doesn't seem to be able to tell us when he needs to go. Pooping in the potty, well lets just say we have a long way to go on this one. We'll see how the next several months go. I'm hoping we can get him potty trained over this fall and winter so by the time he is three he's in underwear.

I weighed Luke this morning and he was 34 pounds but that was dressed with shoes on so he's probably more like 32-33 pounds. We've got him wearing 3T clothes as we've pulled out the long sleeves and pants that use to be Cole's. Its a little weird seeing Luke wear the same clothes Cole did when he was three since Luke is only two. It is also weird to think Cole wore those same clothes when Luke was a new baby.

Luke's new favorite shows these days are Dora and Diego. He gets so excited when they come on tv. We've got Diego playing in the car right now and Luke sits back there with his headphones on screaming out responses to questions.

Right now we are working on colors with Luke. If you get him to concentrate he knows most of them but sometimes he throws out random colors. So we've decided we need to work with him more at home.

He is just such a happy little boy and his smile is contagious. He is so much a Daddy's boy because most of the time he's all about Matt. Yesterday he asked me to come give him a hug while he was sitting on the couch. He laid with me for a little while and it just melted my heart.
