Pine Wood Derby

Cole participated in his first Pine Wood Derby race on Saturday for Boy Scouts.  He had Matt had worked a few weekends to make his car.  Cole helped a lot with creating/choosing the design as well as the painting.  I'm pretty sure Matthew enjoyed making the car more than Cole did (and he's already thinking of how to improve the car for next year).

The Pine Wood Derby fell on Luke's birthday so my Dad was able to attend.  He spent the whole morning with Cole getting to watch him race his car.  Here is a great picture of Cole with Papa!

Cole's car came in third place for the Tiger Cubs so that meant he got a special trophy!  My Dad said he was so excited!  Here is a picture of Cole with his car and trophy.  His car ended up placing 7th overall which is awesome since there were about 62 cars entered from all the boy scouts.
