The boys and I spent yesterday at the St. Louis Zoo - a favorite place to visit during our breaks! We went with my friend from work and her three kids (Xavier - 7, Kaed - almost 3, & Cora - 1). We've been going places with the kids since we were both on maternity leave back on 2009. Only now instead of having two babies in pumpkin seats we've got two little boys running around trying to keep with with their big brothers. We arrived around 9:30am and stayed until about 2:30pm. It got pretty hot around lunch time. I was wishing we were having a nice 70 degree weather day instead of the 80 degree plus weather. We ended our outing with a stop at Jilly's Cupcake Bar for a sweet treat where the boys devoured the cupcake they split (which are huge!)
Luke's not so sure he likes being on the Gorilla's back - he'd prefer to be in the spot Cole is in.
Cole decided he needed to pose for a picture. Jacob was with us and thought this picture would go well with the phrase, "We all have a little Captain in us" for Captain Morgan.

Time to stop and take a picture on the frog - wouldn't be a trip to the Children's Zoo without it.
Now for Cole's turn. I always like to tell him his left arm freaks me out when he extends it like this. Then he keeps doing it :)
Luke with his buddy Kaed. It is often hard to capture Luke in a smile. The boys will go to preschool together next year at their big brother's school although they will be in different classes.
Wouldn't be a complete visit without a ride on the train.
I love my boys and being able to have these breaks where we can do these fun things!
